Trailer Debuts for Cedarville-Filmed "Noah Returns"
A modern classroom. An ancient witness. A Genesis Apologetics film, "Noah Returns: Questions After the Flood," shot in Cedarville University's DeVries Theatre, imagines what it might look like if Noah could answer students' toughest questions today. The movie's trailer was released on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The trailer release is the first public look at the feature-length film, which will have a sneak preview screening Feb. 28 during the 2026 Genesis Apologetics Conference at William Jessup University in Rocklin, California. Genesis Apologetics expects the full film to be released in late 2026, with a possible theatrical run.

Cybersecurity, Math Tools, Fast-Fashion Recycling Win at Cedarville's "The Pitch"
A middle school math tool, affordable cybersecurity for churches and a fast-fashion recycling concept took top honors Friday night at Cedarville University's Pitch competition. After multiple rounds of coaching and judging, three ventures earned the top prizes. First place received $1,000, second place $500 and third place $250 to help teams continue developing their concepts.

As new federal dietary guidelines prompt changes to school breakfasts nationwide, three Cedarville University nursing students' research indicates how high-protein morning meals can improve academic performance and overall health in children. New Federal Dietary Guidelines Reshape School Breakfast Programs The U.S. federal government released updated dietary guidelines on January 7, 2026, replacing the 2011 MyPlate model. The new structure underscores the importance of "real foods" like full-fat milk and yogurt, butter and red meat. The updated food pyramid is expected to bring sweeping changes to school meals across the nation, including the federally funded School Breakfast Program - an area that captured the attention of three Cedarville students.

Cedarville University Launches Cybersecurity Camp for Middle School Students
Cybercrime is accelerating at an alarming rate, with the FBI reporting that losses in the United States reached $12.5 billion in 2023. As phishing scams, malware and data breaches increasingly affect younger users, the need for early cybersecurity education is growing just as quickly. To help meet that need, Cedarville University students are launching CedarBits, a new four-week cybersecurity camp beginning February 3 for middle school students in grades six through eight. The hands-on program will teach computer safety, digital security fundamentals and basic networking skills, equipping students to navigate the online world more safely. Adoption Story Inspires Cedarville Student's Pro-Life Leadership
Hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates will gather in Washington, D.C., for the annual National March for Life. Among the participants will be 50 students and faculty members from Cedarville University. Cedarville Students Join Largest Pro-Life March in the U.S. The Friday, Jan. 23, event is the world's largest human rights demonstration, uniting participants from across the country around the theme, "Life Is a Gift." Adoption Fuels Pro-Life Passion for Cedarville Senior For Cedarville senior communication major Rachel Hartford from Cedarville, Ohio, the issue of life is not only political but deeply personal. "I'm so grateful that my biological parents chose to put me up for adoption," said Hartford. "They couldn't care for me, but they still gave me the best life possible. And God has used that in amazing ways."

The Pitch Spotlights Student Entrepreneurial Spirit
Student-driven innovation will take center stage on Friday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in Cedarville University's Dixon Ministry Center at The Pitch, a "Shark Tank"-style entrepreneurship competition. Five teams will present creative, faith-driven business concepts, many of which were first sparked in classrooms, dorm rooms and late-night conversations. This annual event empowers students to explore entrepreneurship from a biblical worldview. Having progressed through multiple rounds of judging and coaching, the five finalists will present their business concepts to a panel of business leaders during the live event. The winning team will receive $1,000 to help them make the business concept into a practical product for consumers. Second- and third-place participants receive $500 and $250, respectively.

The purpose of the conference is to equip attendees to use their medical skills for gospel impact.

Heartfelt worship, vulnerable conversations and gospel-centered community defined Cedarville University's HeartSong fall tour, where ministry happened just as powerfully behind the scenes as it did on the stage. Over the course of the fall semester, student-led worship teams traveled from Cleveland, Ohio, to Kentucky, sharing music, testimonies and faith with congregations and students. But behind every sleek exterior and precision detail lies the imagination of designers who shape the future of the industry. Cedarville Design Students Take on Automotive Challenge Seniors from Cedarville University's industrial and innovative design program studying at the International Center for Creativity (ICC) in Dublin, Ohio, recently tackled both the rewards and challenges of automotive design in a five-week intensive course. Working in brand-specific teams for the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger, the senior class envisioned the "2035 Pony Car," a forward-looking concept and modeling project that taught real-world industry practices through hands-on experience.

Feeling isolated on a college campus is not unusual - according to the American College Health Association, nearly 60% of college students report feeling lonely or isolated. A new student organization at Cedarville University decided to do something about it. Their solution? Get outside together. Their desire for connection and love for the outdoors led to the creation of CU Outings, a student organization focused on hiking, backpacking, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Student Teachers Bring the Wild West to Life at Cedarville Elementary
A group of third graders dashed across a field, ropes in hand, learning about transportation the cowboy way. It wasn't a field trip - it was a classroom without walls where student teachers swapped worksheets for Wild West adventures. When planning her lessons, Professor Candace Nelson often considers whether her students would rather learn about transportation by doing a worksheet, listening to a lecture or stepping into an activity like roping a cow. She would always choose the cow. An adjunct professor of education at Cedarville University, Nelson leads a senior-level course called Teaching Primary Social Studies designed to give education majors hands-on experience in lesson planning and event preparation. The course culminates in Geography Day, a two-day social studies event hosted by Cedarville University's student teachers for third-grade students at Cedarville Elementary School.

Minecraft Project Rebuilds Cedarville Campus One Block at a Time
Minecraft has more than 204 million monthly players and over 300 million copies sold, making it the best-selling video game in history, according to Global Tech Stack - but few have used it like Caleb Miller. Miller, a Cedarville University geology student from Clarksville, Ohio, transformed real-world geographic and lidar data into a block-by-block digital replica of his campus, turning a classroom assignment into a creative blend of scientific accuracy and sandbox design. For Miller, the project began in his advanced geographic information systems (GIS) course. "It wasn't even my idea," Miller said. "I just needed a project for my advanced GIS class, and my professor mentioned recreating a campus in Minecraft. I thought, why not?"

Students Bring a Voice of Faith to Brazilian Global Climate Summit
CEDARVILLE, OHIO - When nearly 200 nations gather this month to discuss the planet's future, two Cedarville University students will join the conversation as voices of faith. From Nov. 10-21, world leaders, United Nations representatives, scientists and members of civil society will convene in Belem, Brazil, for the 30th annual Conference of the Parties (COP30), a global climate summit organized under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Among this year's attendees are two Cedarville students: Connor Cavey, a senior environmental science student from Pine Plains, New York, and Madeline "Kit" Lason, a senior biology student with a zoology emphasis from Gilbert, Arizona. Both students have been selected to attend COP30 through the Christian Climate Observers Program, founded in 2015 to equip Christian professionals to integrate faith with environmental engagement on a global stage.

In one of America's fiercest battleground districts, where partisan divides run deep and voices grow ever louder, a Cedarville University sophomore found purpose, perspective and a front-row seat to democracy in action. Internship Offers Frontline Look at Political Division In January 2024, U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans narrowly won the election to represent Colorado's 8th Congressional District, claiming victory by less than a percentage point. The seat quickly became one of the most closely watched in the country. Grace Olivia Eddy, a sophomore who is majoring in history from Denver, Colorado, spent her summer as a congressional intern in Evans' district office, gaining firsthand insight into the mechanics - and tensions - of American politics. Eddy hopes to attend law school and pursue a career as a constitutional attorney.

As the leaves turn red and the weather grows cold, people look forward to the holidays - gathering around tables for festive meals with family and friends. But not every table will be full this year. As food prices rise, food banks are struggling to provide healthy protein options to address community hunger, and one Cedarville University student is rallying fellow hunters to help. Ben Heady, a senior from Arlington, Indiana, studying business management and music, launched The One Arrow Mission, an initiative to supply 1,500 pounds of venison to the food bank serving Jamestown and Cedarville.

Cedarville Pharmacy Students Deliver Over 100 Vaccines With Compassion and Care
Saving Lives Through Pharmacy Care CEDARVILLE, OHIO - According to the World Health Organization (WHO), vaccines prevent an estimated 3.5 to 5 million deaths worldwide annually. At Cedarville University's School of Pharmacy, students are equipped with the hands-on skills to deliver life-saving immunizations in their communities. Students Serve on the Front Lines Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students Hayden Lee of Cedarville, Ohio, and Blair Woodard of Cicero, Indiana, put their pharmacy skills to work last month by administering more than 100 vaccines to individuals at the Middletown Hospice Center and Brookhaven Nursing Home and Assisted Living in the Dayton area. By serving patients across a wide range of ages - from young adults to senior citizens - Lee and Woodard delivered essential vaccination care during one of the busiest times of the year for illness.

Cedarville Students Serve Refugees at International Family Night
In 2024, more than 450 refugees arrived in the greater Dayton area - many from the Democratic Republic of the Congo - bringing new languages, cultures and stories to southwestern Ohio. How can local residents best connect with them and help them bridge the cultural change? Serving Refugees Through Friendship and Faith Students from Cedarville University are serving these refugees through International Family Night (IFN), a monthly event held at Beavercreek Christian Church. In this program, the students build relationships by playing board games, sharing meals, studying the Bible and providing academic tutoring. Focusing on a need in the local community may not be a normal Friday night plan for college students, but these Cedarville students are excited to travel to the church to make a gospel impact.

Cedarville Students Bring Hope to the Elderly
In the United States, about 1.3 million people live in nursing homes, many facing loneliness, memory loss and emotional isolation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A group of Cedarville University students have created a program to help the elderly by offering encouragement, prayer and companionship just miles from campus. Crossroads Ministries: Weekly Visits Rooted in Compassion Crossroads Ministries, a student organization at Cedarville, shares hope and encouragement with elderly residents who live in a nursing facility in Xenia, Ohio. The group meets once a week to make crafts for the residents and distributes the gifts during weekly visits.

Cedarville ROTC Cadets Honor Fallen Green Beret Alumnus
As Veterans Day approaches, Cedarville University's Army ROTC cadets will pay tribute to Capt. Charles Robinson, a Cedarville alumnus and U.S. Army Green Beret who gave his life in Afghanistan 20 years ago. The Capt. Charles Robinson Memorial Workout, marking the 20th anniversary of his death, will take place Friday, Nov. 7, in Cedarville University's Doden Field House with sessions at 6, 7 and 8 a.m. Participants will complete a series of exercises designed to reflect Robinson's legacy of strength and perseverance. Donations to support the Green Beret Foundation will be accepted at the entrance.

Pharmacy Partnership With Pink Ribbon Good Advancing Breast Cancer Support
According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women in the United States -13 percent - will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. As women navigate the emotional and physical challenges of the disease, undergraduate students from Cedarville University's School of Pharmacy are partnering with Pink Ribbon Good to conduct research aimed at improving patients' quality of life. Pink Ribbon Good (PRG), a nonprofit based in Dayton, Ohio, collaborates with local and national healthcare providers to serve women and families affected by breast and gynecological cancers by offering free healthy meals, rides to treatment, house cleaning essentials and peer support.

Through Cedarville's long-standing partnership with the Michigan-based institute, students gain immersive, field-based learning experiences led by Christian experts committed to environmental sustainability and biblical stewardship. "The Au Sable Institute partnership allows our students to engage directly with professionals and researchers in the field," said Dr. Mark Gathany, professor of biology and Cedarville's campus representative for the institute. Cedarville Welcomes Word of Life Graduates From Around the World
CEDARVILLE, OHIO - This fall, Cedarville welcomed its largest freshman class to date, including transfer students from around the world. Every year, about an eighth of those transfers come from Word of Life Bible Institute, an accredited Bible program with 19 campuses worldwide. Grace Anderson, a sophomore majoring in Spanish and biblical studies from Goshen, Indiana, transferred from the Word of Life campus in Argentina. Katherine Dunham, a junior majoring in professional writing and information design from Cedarville, Ohio, arrived from the Schroon Lake, New York, campus.

Cedarville School of Nursing Celebrates 40 Years of Excellence
In hospital rooms, rural clinics and global crisis zones alike, Cedarville University nursing graduates have spent the past 40 years delivering care marked by compassion, skill and Christ-centered purpose. That journey began in 1985, when 30 students became the first to graduate from Cedarville's School of Nursing. This fall, the university celebrated homecoming by honoring the inaugural class and the legacy it launched. Since awarding its first degrees, the School of Nursing has grown significantly. For the 2025-26 academic year, 478 undergraduate nursing students are enrolled, along with more than 170 online graduate students in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and 21 students enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs.
